Fred Brown
Fred was born in Texas in 1965, and has lived in Austin since leaving active duty from the Navy in 1991. He retired from the Navy Reserve in 2007. Fred is currently employed as a Security/Financial Analyst for Apple Inc. Fred married his wife Wendy in 1998, and has three children and one grandchild. Fred has been a member of SWCC since 1997.

Paul Carnes - Current Chairman
Born and raised in Michigan, Paul has lived in California, New York and Texas. He and his family have lived in Buda since 1984. Paul is currently serving as Chairman of the Elders. Professionally, Paul's a Certified Technical Trainer in Austin.
Paul and his wife Betty have been married since 1971, and have one grown son and one grandson. They have been members of SWCC since 1998.

Lloyd Hehman
Lloyd was born and raised in Taylor, TX. He now lives with his family in Austin. Lloyd has been married to his wife Janis since 1973, and has two grown children and two grandchildren. Lloyd and Janis have been members of SWCC since 1978.Professionally, Lloyd is a CPA and Financial Advisor, with a firm here in Austin.

Ron Leigh
Born in California, Ron was raised in Michigan and Texas. His home has been in Austin since 1972. Ron married his high school sweetheart, Lisa, and they have been married for over 30 years (1977). They have three adult children. Ron is a Certified Project Manager for HP in Austin. He has been a member of SWCC since 1972. He has previously served as a Deacon and is also currently teaching a Sunday Bible Study Class.Ron's Favorites

Jon Cannon
Born in Iowa, Jon moved with his family and was raised in Texas. He has lived in Austin since 1980. Jon and his wife Linda have been married over 40 years, since 1968. Paul Diaz, Sr.
Born in Austin, Paul has lived here all his life. He married his childhood sweetheart, Sarah, in 1970. Paul and Sarah have three grown children and four grandchildren. They have been members of SWCC since 1978, and were instrumental in establishment of the bilingual congregation at Southwest. Paul has served as Chairman of the Elders for several terms. Paul's professional expertise is in Technology & Management with AVP Technology Services in Austin.He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dallas Christian College, a Trustee with Mexican Border Christian Ministries, and an Advisory Board Member of the Government Technology Conference.Paul's Favorites

Phil Landrum
Phil was born and raised in/around Madisonville, KY. Served in the US Army from 1958 thru 1961. He has also lived in the Florida Keys and Tampa, following work, they moved to Houston in 1968 then to Austin in 1970 as co-owner/CEO of a specialty camera store. Phil and June, his childhood sweetheart, celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2008. They have two adult children and four grandchildren and one great grandchild.June serves as our Missions Outreach Team Leader. In 1978 Phil was ordained to the Ministry and served full-time as Outreach Minister for Southwest Christian until his retirement in 2006. Phil currently teaches a Seeker Class on Wednesday evenings and is the Project Manager for construction of Southwest Christian's new Ministry Facilities..

Sam Shinn
Born in Tennesee, Sam lived in several places throughout his career in the military. He and his family moved to Austin in 1982. Sam has been married to his wife Jackie for over 40 years (1968). They have three grown sons and four grandchildren. Sam and Jackie have been members of SWCC since 1982. Sam retired in 2009 from the Construction Industry Institute as an Administrative Assistant.
