OUR VISION OF CORPORATE WORSHIP

Since the inception of Southwest in 1959, it has always been our first priority to foster an environment where all can experience authentic worship of our God with joy and to explore the wonders of Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. Each Sunday we worship in 2 distinctly different styles; a traditional style, and a contemporary style. While the styles differ the message will always remain biblically focused, practical, challenging, and uplifting.  Central to our meeting times is communion, which is celebrated weekly.  We believe Communion is our Lord's invitation to His table and is therefore open to all who love Him and wish to honor Him in this way, all are welcome to partake of this communion at Southwest Christian.  We hope you will join us with Christians throughout the world in worship of our amazing God!.
COVID Worship Times
Contemporary Worship Outdoors- 9:30 AM
As you arrive to worship you may participate in one of two ways. You will have the option to park your car in our parking lot, bring a chair or blanket, and walk up to worship or you have the option to park your car in the grass and worship from inside or right outside of your car. If you choose to worship outside of you car you may still bring a chair or blanket to sit on or if you choose to worship inside of your car you can tune your radio to our FM station to listen in without even rolling your windows down. Communion and Worship lyrics will be available for pick up upon arrival.
During worship, about 9:30-10am, our 6th-12th grade students will meet for a time of games, fellowship, and prayer then return to service during the sermon.
After worship, about 10am, to the close of service all 4 year olds -5th graders are welcome to participate in a time of games, crafts, and Bible study.  Sending your child to these classes is completely optional. Masks are required and all classes will be held outdoor.

Opportunities to Serve

It is our priviledge to lead the congregation in worship each Sunday. It takes more people than you see on stage to make each week happen. If you can play an instrument, sing, or simply have a passion for music and would like to be trained to join our sound/lighting team we'd love to visit with you and explore your passion!

Ways You Can Serve:
  • Sound Team:If you have an interest in helping with sound, we can train you! We will need you once a month to run the sound board for both Sunday morning worship and during worship practice.
  • Vocalists: Whether your passion is for contemporary worship music or traditional hymns, if you have a good singing voice and a basic understanding of harmonies we have a place for you. You must be available to attend weekly practices.
  • Instrumentalists: Whatever your instrument, if you are proficient at your craft and would like to use your gift for worship we'd love to talk with you. You must be able to read music/chord charts and be available to attend weekly practices.
  • Special Productions: Each year we put on special productions. If you are interested in acting, set design, or singing in the choir we have a place for you!
